The bear behind the name
Blue Bear Hideaway was named for the distinctive blue-bear paintings of North Georgia artist Sandra Erickson Wright. Her artwork can be found throughout the cabin, including this Blue Bear we commissioned especially for our mountain home.

Is Blue Bear Hideaway pet friendly?
Yes. Up to two dogs are welcome with a $50 pet fee per stay. Dogs must be crated when left unattended. Sorry, no cats. Certain breed restrictions apply.
Do I need four-wheel drive to reach the cabin?
No. Under normal conditions, four-wheel drive is not required. Most roads in the community are paved, with a gravel road leading to the gated entrance and a gravel driveway at the cabin.

Blue Bear has fiber-optic high-speed internet, streaming television, a gas fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, gas grill, outdoor dining and a wraparound covered porch—all tucked into a quiet, gated mountain community.
